8 weeks prego!!!

So, as of Friday, Jan. 22nd I am 8 weeks pregnant. I know I haven't kept up with this thing and I just started it but it has definitely been a very busy couple of weeks. First, I will let you know how my appt. went. Jan. 12th went to the Dr. and of course there is only 1 baby Wreyford but I was a little disappointed that I wasn't as far as I had orgininally thought. On the day of the appt. I only measured 6 weeks and 4 days. My mom went with me because Lance ended up having to work that day. We went to lunch first and then did some shopping afterwards....it was a pretty good day. The Dr. says everything looks good so far. I am going back to the Dr. Feb. 11th and I am having my first round of testing down on Feb. 25th!! I am so excited about this journey that Lance and I are on. I can't wait to meet the little one, oh yeah, my due date is Sept. 3rd. Lance seems to be getting more and more excited, it's just taking him a little longer than me, I am just glad we get to share this experience together.

I have now started my master's and it's going to be a lot of work but I am glad I am doing it now even though it will be tough with a little one around it won't be as tough as having a couple of them around in a few more years, so i am glad i have started it.

This is a pretty big developing week...there is a lot going on:
New this week: Webbed fingers and toes are poking out from your baby's hands and feet, his eyelids practically cover his eyes, breathing tubes extend from his throat to the branches of his developing lungs, and his "tail" is just about gone. In his brain, nerve cells are branching out to connect with one another, forming primitive neural pathways. You may be daydreaming about your baby as one sex or the other, but the external genitals still haven't developed enough to reveal whether you're having a boy or a girl. Either way, your baby — about the size of a kidney bean — is constantly moving and shifting, though you still can't feel it.

Oh yeah, I have a sono picture but our scanner isn't scanning so when it is up and running I will post our little one's first picture!!!

Hope everyone has a great week,

April

Supposed to be 7-8 weeks!!!

Hello All:
Let me begin by telling you what happened with all of this!!! Dec. 18th we found out that I am pregnant!!! We were a little shocked....not going to lie....but excited!!! We finally broke the news to our families at Christmas. I went back to school this past week and realized I couldn't fit into any of my clothes already!! As I went back to school I began getting quite a bit of reaction from the fact that I was already showing. We aren't sure if we are having twins or I am just further along than I think I am. Yes, I do have twins in my family line on my mothers side so there is a great possibility that it is twins. I am a little scared of this thought but I know that if it is then we will handle it, because God doesn't give you anything that we can't handle!!! I go to the doctor on Tuesday the 12th at 2:15 so I am hoping I find out what is going on and will keep you posted about it!!!

About baby Wreyford:
The big news this week: Hands and feet are emerging from developing arms and legs — although they look more like paddles at this point than the tiny, pudgy extremities. Technically, your baby is still considered an embryo and has something of a small tail, which is an extension of her tailbone. The tail will disappear within a few weeks, but that's the only thing getting smaller. Your baby has doubled in size since last week and now measures half an inch long, about the size of a blueberry.
